Bala Town can announce that we will be taking on Cymru Premier champions TNS in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, June 21st.
This is the second friendly fixture to be announced for our pre-season schedule having already confirmed Cliftonville will visit Maes Tegid on June 25th. TNS will also be facing the NIFL Premiership the following day at Park Hall.
Our friendly fixture against TNS will take place at Park Hall, the home of the champions, on Tuesday, June 21st with kick-off set for 19:45. The game will allow both teams to prepare for our respective European campaigns which are set to take place in the first week of July.
We faced TNS on four occasions last year with the Oswestry based outfit coming out on top in three of those clashes. However, the Lakesiders almost caused an upset in our two away outings at Park Hall, having originally taken the lead through Chris Venables in both games, yet lost out late to a TNS turnaround.
The Saints came out on top last season as they took the league by storm having gone the two previous years trophy-less. Managed by Anthony Limbrick, TNS won 25 of the possible 32 games having only lost twice all season.
Admission will be free for the game, giving fans the chance to come along to back the boys ahead of another exciting period in our history!
