Lakesiders Confirm Friendly Fixture With Cliftonville

Bala Town are pleased to announce a 2022/23 pre-season fixture against Cliftonville on June 25th.

The Northern Irish side that plays in the NIFL Premiership - the top division of the Northern Ireland Football League - will visit Maes Tegid on Saturday, June 25th with kick-off set for 15:00.

Cliftonville will be competing in a double header of friendly fixtures against Cymru Premier clubs as they also travel to Park Hall to face champions TNS.

The Reds have qualified for the Europa Conference League themselves and are ranked as an unseeded side in the draw meaning Bala could well face Northern Irish opposition in successive seasons.

The club managed by Paddy McLaughlin finished runners up in the NIFL Premiership last season only a point behind champions and city rivals Linfield. They have a great history of competing in Europe having qualified seven times throughout the 2010s facing the likes of Celtic and Nordsjælland.

They will be a tough test and a taste of what could await the Lakesiders in the first qualifying round of the Europa Conference League set for early July as we look ahead to a new campaign full of promise.

More details including ticket information will be announced at a later date as well as our remaining friendly fixtures.
