Bala Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Saint Lucia International Daniel Mullarkey as our second signing on Deadline Day!
Daniel signs for the Lakesiders having departed Bangor City in November of last year. He is a product of the Birmingham City Academy, where he would spend five year after he moved to the UK from Saint Lucia at the age of 10. Coventry City would be his next destination, before making the move to Cyprus to play for AEL Limassol.
After a two year period in Cyprus, Daniel would stay in the UK and play for many non-league clubs such as Kettering Town, Boston United, Ilkeston Town and most recently Redditch United. The 30 year old also had a trial with League of Ireland Premier Divison club Cork City in 2015, before returning to England.
The Defender has represented his country on seven occassions, including Saint Lucia's 2018 World Cup Qualifying campaign in 2015, where he would compete against Antigua and Barbuda. He's also scored for his country in the 2017 Windward Islands Tournament, where they defeated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines 2-1 in the team's opening match.
Daniel joins the Lakesiders having made just eight appearances for Bangor City last year, including a Nathaniel MG Cup appearance against the Town, where he and his former team mates took the Lakesiders all the way to penalties.
Daniel will wear the number 16 shirt for the Lakesiders.
