It's a trip to the league leaders for Matchday Fourteen, as we take on Penybont at the SDM Glass Stadium with the aim of getting back on track in the league after four games without a win in the JD Cymru Premier.
The Town made it through to Round Three of the JD Welsh Cup last weekend, as a Lassana Mendes hat-trick completed a 3-1 victory over Llanrhaeadr Ym Mochnant at Maes Tegid, despite the away side drawing level in the 71st minute.
Today's hosts have suffered their first rough patch of the season, with no wins in their last three outings, including defeats in the Nathaniel MG Cup and JD Welsh Cup against JD Cymru Premier opposition.

Danger Man
Chris Venables: The former Lakesiders Captain remains to be a threat in the Penybont attack, having scored three goals in his last three appearances in the JD Cymru Premier. The 39 year old has four goals to his name for the season, scoring all four in the JD Cymru Premier. Despite limited minutes this season, the former Town midfielder leads the way in terms of goals for Penybont, with only Owen Pritchard matching him four goals in all competitions. Venables' tally for last season was impressive having featured in only 23 of a possible 34 fixtures in the JD Cymru Premier, the veteran still managed to net 20 goals.
Previous Meetings
So far this season, Penybont hold the upper hand with a 2-1 victory at Maes Tegid at the end of August, as Kieran Lloyd's opener was cancelled out by two second half goals from Penybont with the Town down to 10 men after 31 minutes due to George Newell receiving two yellow cards within a matter of seconds. The Town would hold the bragging rights last season with two victories against the Bont, after a 2-1 victory at Maes Tegid and a 2-0 victory at the SDM Glass Stadium. In the eighteen fixtures between the two sides since the 2019/20 season, it has seen 10 victories, four draws and four defeats for the Town in all competitions.
