Insight into our opponents

The Blues were originally founded in 1906, and started playing their football in the Liverpool County Football Combination league before joining the Warrington & District Football League. The side who are managed by David Mcnabb, won the FA Vase Cup in 2021 at Wembley Stadium following a 3-2 win over Binfield, and made their first FA Cup appearance in the 2019-20 season, however were knocked out in the Extra Prelimimary Round against Runcorn Town.

The side hailing from Warrington were promoted last season from the Northern Premier League Division One West, after finishing in top spot and gaining promotion to the Northern Premier league Premier Division, as they beat Workington to a first placed finish by a point.

Danger Man

Kane Drummond - Their danger man will definitely be Kane Drummond should he feature, with the young forward making a big impact in their title winning season, as he netted on 19 occasions, and came joint third in the leagues top scorers list. Drummond joined the Blues from Gorsey Lane, and was made the Blues' first contracted player in their history. The former Liverpool academy player had several higher-ranked clubs interested in his services before his move, however his move to Rylands was described as a big step in his career. The forward will definitely be a threat in today's friendly, as Warrington Rylands prepare for a new challenge in a new league.
