Danger Man
Nathan Wood – The 25 year old Forward is the leading goal scorer for the Bont this season, with seven league goals in 22 appearances to his name, while also netting four goals in the JD Welsh Cup. Wood has been in some good form recently, scoring three goals in his last six appearances, including a 96th minute penalty against Holywell Town in their JD Welsh Cup Quarter Final tie, sending the Bont through to the Semi Finals. Although, Wood is yet to score against the Lakesiders in all competitions, however there is no doubt he knows where the net is, and will be a threat up top this afternoon should he feature.
Previous Meetings
The Lakesiders have had mixed success against Penybont in recent meetings, with just three victories in our last eight fixtures. Today's visitors have been victorious in two of the last eight meetings, however they do have a penalty shootout victory to their name, as the Bont progressed through to last season's JD Welsh Cup Final after a 5-3 triumph on penalties. The most recent meeting saw Kostya Georgievsky put the Bont ahead at Maes Tegid, before Luke Wall equalised in the second half to earn the Lakesiders a point. Although, this season the Bont have the upper hand having won the opening game of the season against the Town, as Rhys Kavanagh netted a five minute brace to give the South Wales side the first three points of the season.
