The Lakesiders are at Maes Tegid for the final time in 2023, as we look to finish off the year on a high by securing a top six spot by Matchday 22. However, with Newtown being the visitors today, it will no doubt be a tough test for the Town.
It was a tense end to our previous outing on Boxing Day, as we looked to have secured the three points following Ross White's second half goal to make the score 3-0, however two goals from Colwyn Bay's Udoyen Akpan in the space of eight minutes made it a very nervy ending for the Town.
The Robins come into today's match with their top six place almost secured, despite tasting defeat at the hands of Connah's Quay Nomads in their last outing, with the Nomads securing a 2-1 victory at Latham Park.

Danger Man
Aaron Williams - The joint top scorer in the JD Cymru Premier this season will no doubt be the danger man for the Robins today. Williams this season has an average of a goal contribution per game in the league, with 15 goals and one assist in 16 league appearances, while also boasting three goals in the JD Welsh Cup. The 30 year old is currently joint top of the JD Cymru Premier goal scoring charts with Jordan Davies of Connah's Quay Nomads going into the second half of the season.
Previous Meetings
There has been no victories for the Town in our last four meetings with Newtown, facing defeat on all four occasions in league fixtures. The last fixture between the two sides was a well-contested game at Latham Park, as Newtown would clinch victory just seven minutes into the second half, as Aaron Williams would grab the only goal of the game. The last Bala victory came at Latham Park in September 2022, as goals from Antony Kay and Chris Venables either side of half-time, would secure a 2-0 victory for the Town.
