It’s 2nd vs 3rd in the Cymru Premier on Good Friday as Newtown are the visitors at Maes Tegid. Both sides go into the game level on points, with two goals holding the Robins ahead of the Lakesiders on goal difference entering a clash with huge implications regarding European qualification.


Newtown are in good form having won all of their last four games entering Good Friday including an impressive away victory over TNS. While with a game against the champions still remaining for the Robins, victory over the Lakesiders will be almost essential in the race for European qualification.

Danger Man


Aaron Williams – Newtown’s danger man needs no introduction. Williams is the Cymru Premier’s 2nd top goalscorer having netted an outstanding 16 goals in his first season in domestic Welsh football. While also having scored a further nine goals in cup competition representing Newtown. He has been the Robins’ talisman this season and will be hoping to guide them to achieving back-to-back European qualification.


Previous Meetings


Our previous encounter with Newtown came at Latham Park as we secured a 2-0 win in our first game of the Championship Conference in a professional performance by the Lakesiders. Nathan Peate scored his third goal at the ground that night with Chris Venables also adding to his account for the season.
