It's JD Welsh Cup weekend, as the Lakesiders get their campaign underway in Round Two of the Cup with an all JD Cymru Premier tie, as Connah's Quay Nomads make their way to Maes Tegid.
It's been a tough few weeks for the Town, gaining no points in our last four league fixtures having faced four consecutive defeats, with one coming against the Nomads in a 3-1 defeat at Maes Tegid just 11 days ago.
📈Opponents Form
The Nomads have began to pick up the pace in the JD Cymru Premier, after picking up three consecutive victories and scoring three goals in each game while only conceding the one. Their last defeat came against Caernarfon Town just over three weeks ago as the Cofi's narrowly beat the Nomads 2-1. Since their last defeat, they've picked up 10 points and have risen to 4th in the table with a game in hand over teams around them.

The last two meetings between the two sides have ended with 3-1 scorelines, with the Nomads victorious in the most recent meeting at Maes Tegid and then the Lakesiders taking the victory at the Essity Stadium at the beginning of September. However, the last time these two sides met in the JD Welsh Cup, it would end in despair for the Lakesiders as a last minute Aron Williams goal in Llandudno took the Nomads through to the JD Welsh Cup Final.
