📋 Match Details
The Lakesiders' race for a top six place has almost faded away, with an unlikely turn of events needed which would see the Town in the top six come the end of Gameweek 22. Seven points is the gap between the Town in 9th place and Barry Town who currently occupy the 6th position on 27 points.
The visitors for today's match have all but cemented their top six place, despite there being a mathematical chance of Cardiff Met being able to snatch a top six spot, it would require the Cofi's to face heavy defeats in their last two games before the split, and for Cardiff Met to fire a few goals past Penybont in their final outing of Phase One.
📈Opponents Form
The Cofi's have had a rough patch in their last five league outings, with just three points gained in three draws and two defeats. Their last outing would end in a 2-1 defeat against Colwyn Bay at their temporary home in Llandudno, as goals from former Town Captain Nathan Peate and Jamie Cumming was enough to take the points back to Colwyn Bay. However, the Cofi's have made it through to the last eight of the JD Welsh Cup in recent weeks, with wins against Penrhyncoch and Cardiff Met.
🔙 Recent Meetings
It's not a great read for the Town in recent meetings, with four consecutive league defeats to the Cofi's and only one goal scored across them four defeats. Our last victory against our Gwynedd Rivals was on the 30th of December in 2022, where George Newell, Adam Roscrow and Chris Venables all got on the scoresheet. The last meeting at Maes Tegid ended in a 3-1 defeat, courtesy of goals from Adam Davies and a brace from Josh Lock, with Louis Robles scoring the only goal for the Lakesiders.
