99 days later, and the Lakesiders return to Cymru Premier action following the summer break! We welcome newly promoted Barry Town to Maes Tegid on Matchday One, as both sides will look to kick off their season with a bang!
The Lakesiders have been strong in pre-season, recruiting 10 new players to the squad and winning 3 out of 4 pre-season friendlies in July. The Town also progressed into the Third Round of the Nathaniel MG Cup last week with a superb 4-0 victory over Ruthin Town, with George Newell grabbing a hat-trick!
Barry Town also had a strong pre-season, winning 3 out of 6 pre-season friendlies and recruiting well. However, Aberystwyth Town would send them out of the Nathaniel MG Cup last weekend with a 2-1 scoreline in Round Two.

Danger Man
Kayne McLaggon - McLaggon topped the Cymru South goalscoring charts last season with a remarkable 34 goals in 27 appearances, while also assisting his teammates with seven assists. The Veteran forward's last outing in the Cymru Premier saw him almost collect a goal every other game in the 2021/22 season, with 14 goals in 30 league appearances. The 32 year old's last appearance against the Lakesiders was a good one for the Forward, as he notched a brace in a 3-3 draw at Maes Tegid in October 2021. As always, he will be a big threat for the league's opening game.
