We are delighted to announce the renewal of Calum Woods' contract, keeping him at Maes Tegid until May 2023!
The 35-year-old defender joined the Club in June of 2021, having spent a short time at Indian Super League side SC East Bengal. Woods plied his trade in the English Football League, playing for clubs such as Huddersfield Town, Preston North End, Bradford City and Tranmere Rovers. He was once promoted with Huddersfield Town, having been crowned League One Play-Off Champions after a Penalty Shootout win against Sheffield United.
He made his competitive debut for the Lakesiders in our Europa Conference League First Qualifying Round defeat to Larne at Park Hall, playing 154 minutes across the two ties. Woods would go on to feature in 19 league matches this past season, grabbing one goal and making six appearances in cup competitions while also grabbing another goal.
We look forward to welcoming Calum back for another season at Maes Tegid!
