SPFL Trust Trophy Round Three Draw

Following the Lakesiders' Nathaniel MG Cup triumph last season, we gained entry into the SPFL Trust Trophy, in which the Town will enter at the Third Round stage.

The draw takes place this afternoon at 1pm on the SPFL's Youtube Channel with each club being assigned a number for the draw earlier on in the day.

The competition features the 30 cinch Championship, cinch League 1 and cinch League 2 clubs, along with eleven cinch Premiership B teams and four representatives each from the Highland League and Lowland Leagues in Scotland.

Also featuring in the competition are Northern Ireland’s Sports Direct Premiership representatives for 2023/24 – Cliftonville and Coleraine.

The Third Round will see 32 teams enter, with a place in Round Four up for grabs. The teams entering in Round Three are:

Airdrieonians, Arbroath, Ayr United, Dundee United, Dunfermline Athletic, Greenock Morton, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Partick Thistle, Queen's Park, Raith Rovers, Alloa Athletic,

Cove Rangers, Edinburgh City, Falkirk, Hamilton Academical, Kelty Hearts, Montrose,

Queen of the South, Cliftonville, Coleraine, The New Saints, Bala Town, Albion Rovers, Annan Athletic East Kilbride, Rangers B, University of Stirling, Dumbarton.

This will be the second time the Lakesiders have featured in the competition, having competed in the 2016-17 season, as Alloa Athletic made the trip to Maes Tegid in the Fourth Round. The Scottish side would head back up North with a 4-2 victory after taking a 3-0 lead in the first half, dumping the Lakesiders out the competition in the process.
