We are pleased to announce the renewal of Paul Rutherford's contract keeping him at Maes Tegid for another season!
The experienced winger signed for the Lakesiders in June of 2021, having been released from Wrexham AFC after spending five years at the club. Rutherford was brought up through the Liverpool academy before joining up with his brother at Chester City, before making his professional debut for the club in 2005.
He's featured for four clubs over a career spanning over 17 years, playing as high as League Two with Chester City, however it was neighbours Wrexham in the National League is where he left his mark. Making almost 200 appearances for the Red Dragons, while also being a fan favourite for his work ethic and dedication.
The 34 year old made his competitive debut for the Town in our Europa Conference League First Leg defeat to Larne in July last year. He went on to make 28 league appearances, scoring three and assisting on four occasions, whilst also grabbing a further four goals in cup competitions in eight appearances.
