It's mid-week action for the Lakesiders this week, as we enter a busy period of the season with matches coming thick and fast. This mid-week, we travel to Latham Park on a cold wintry Tuesday night to take on Newtown AFC, with the aim of securing back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
The Robins have had a troublesome start to the season, with two wins, two defeats and three losses in their opening seven league matches of the campaign, and currently sit in 9th place. They also have the 3rd worse defence in the league, having conceded 15 goals so far, with only Aberystwyth Town and Airbus UK; who occupy the relegation zone with worse defences this season.

Danger Man
Aaron Williams - Despite having a leaky defence this season, a positive for the Robins is that Star Striker; Aaron Williams is firing on all cylinders! Sitting on top of the goalscoring charts with seven goals to his name, Williams has accounted for more than half of Newtown's goals in the league this season, and has SIX in his last three games. The Englishman will be looking to continue his good run of form this Tuesday, and will definitely be a threat up top!
Previous Meetings
It hasn't been too long since both teams met, with our previous meeting being just a month ago as Newtown visited Maes Tegid and left empty handed, as a superb 3-0 victory for the Lakesiders send the Robins packing on Matchday Three. In the last ten meetings between the two clubs, there has been NINE victories for the Lakesiders, and one draw which saw both teams battle out a 3-3 draw at Latham Park. Confidence should be high within the Lakesiders camp, although nothing can be taken away from the mid-Wales side, who can always pose a threat in matches.
