Championship Conference is set to get underway at Latham Park for the Lakesiders as we take on Newtown who currently sit third in the table.

We begin the Phase Two of the Cymru Premier in 5th place. Aberystwyth’s added-time equaliser last week saw us drop from joint second, showcasing just how tight the top six remains with ten games remaining.

Danger Man

Aaron Williams – Williams has not scored in three games so by his accounts he will be long overdue a goal in the first game of the Championship Conference. The 28-year-old has struck an impressive 23 goals this season in all competitions with 13 of those coming in the league. Williams also scored against the Lakesiders in the Nathaniel MG Cup as he gave his side the lead in the quarter-finals before Bala were able turnaround the scores.

Previous Meeting

We last faced Newtown at home on matchday 21 as we defeated the Robins 1-0 at Maes Tegid. Will Evans' late first-half effort was enough to edge the scores on that evening as we earned a hard-fought victory.

Head-To-Head

In our last eight meetings against the Robins, we have a head-to-head record of six wins, one draw and one defeat in all competitions. However, only two victories have come away from home, with a 3-3 draw back in November last year, and a 1-0 defeat back in September of 2019.
