After securing a big three points in mid-week with a 1-0 away win against Colwyn Bay, the Lakesiders will look to build some momentum after a decent start to the campaign, as the current JD Cymru Premier Champions The New Saints make their way to Maes Tegid as we almost reach the halfway point of Phase One.
The New Saints have risen to the top of the pile after last weekend's round of matches, moving Caernarfon Town to second only on goal difference. Since their defeat on the opening weekend, the New Saints have remained unbeaten in their next nine outings.
📈Opponents Form
Despite a horrendous start to the season with a 3-0 defeat at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel, the New Saints have returned to their usual best with six wins and two draws since the opening weekend. Their last outing would end in a 4-2 victory over Flint Town at Park Hall, with Jordan Williams scoring an outstanding volley, and Ryan Brobbel, Ken Charles and Ben Wilson all getting on the scoresheet.

The last meeting between the two sides came at Park Hall, as a Sion Bradley penalty in the 85th minute left the Lakesiders with no points at the end of it in a 2-1 defeat. Our last meeting at Maes Tegid would also end in defeat for the Lakesiders, as Leo Smith opened the scoring in the opening seconds of the match, and Jordan Williams securing the victory with 14 minutes left to play. Despite the last two defeats, the Town also saw two victories against the New Saints, with a 3-2 and 1-0 victory in Phase One of last season, with it being the first time the Lakesiders completed the double over the Oswestry side.
