Europa Conference League Guide

Following the conclusion of many European leagues and domestic cups, here is a guide to the UEFA Europa Conference League 2022/23 for the Lakesiders.

Bala Town will head into the Europa Conference League First Qualifying Round as a SEEDED team for the 2nd time in our history with 3.250 coefficient points (Click here for more information on how coefficient points are used) Being a seeded club means the Lakesiders will be drawn against a club with lesser European experience in recent years.

The draw for the First Qualifying Round will take place on June 14th at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. Following previous draws, all clubs will be placed into a group consisting of 3 or 4 seeded and unseeded teams the night before the draw takes place. This will give clubs a greater idea of who they could face.

The First Qualifying Round ties will take place on the 7th and 14th of July (subject to change) with home/away legs to be decided by the draw.

The Town could face any one of the following clubs in the First Qualifying Round:

Note: Due to the events happening in Ukraine, Russia will have no affiliated clubs participating in UEFA club competitions in the 2022/23 season, resulting in the access list for both of the Europa League & Europa Conference League being altered. The First Qualifying Round of the Europa Conference League will now be reduced from 72 teams to 60 teams.

It could also be another familiar foe in Tre Fiori of San Marino, where the Lakesiders unfortunately fell to a 3-1 aggregate defeat.
