Arsan switches Newtown for Bala Town

Bala Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of experienced defender Naim Arsan from fellow Cymru Premier side Newtown AFC.

Naim signs for the Lakesiders having spent the previous season at Latham Park with Newtown, featuring in 20 league matches while also making his debut in Newtown's Europa Conference League First Qualifying Round tie against Irish side Dundalk.

The Welshman previously spent six seasons with recently relegated side Cefn Druids, where he helped them on their way to European football in 2018, as Druids won the Cymru Premier European Play-Off Final. The 28 year old would go on to face Lithuanian side FK Trakai in the Europa League with Cefn Druids, but would unfortunately fall to a 2--1 aggregate defeat having drawn the home leg 1-1.

The defender also spent time at The New Saints in the early years of his career, as well as Conwy Borough and Penycae FC.

Naim has represented Wales for both their Futsal team and the Wales C Squad, where he featured in Wales C's 3-2 defeat to England C at Jenner Park in 2018.

Croeso i Faes Tegid, Naim!
