Bala Town can announce the departure of Anthony Stephens following two spells at the club spanning six years.
Stephens has played in Wales his entire playing career having come up through Wrexham's youth ranks. He would go on to join both Prestatyn and Colwyn Bay respectively before arriving at Maes Tegid in 2015. A three-year spell with the club would come to an end in the summer of 2018 following an ACL injury before the 28-year-old would return almost six months later.
Historically, Stephens was involved in some of the club's greatest feats. Including our memorable Welsh Cup triumph in 2017 where the defender's performance was highlighted as a standout in helping the Lakesiders cause an upset. As well as having played in our first progression in European competition with our infamous win over Valletta in the Europa League's first qualifying round in 2020.
Manager Colin Caton described Stephens as a player who always gave 100% and was great to work with during his time at Maes Tegid.
We would like to thank Anthony for his contributions to the Club during his time here, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Diolch am bopeth Stevo!
