Bala Town are pleased to announce that Alex Ramsay has signed a new deal with the club making him a Lakesider until June 2024.
The 28-year-old signed for the Lakesiders in June of 2020 from Caernarfon Town and was an instant hit with the fans. His first competitive game saw him play in Europe for the first time and he didn't disappoint. Ramsay made a crucial save as he denied Valletta from the penalty spot to help Bala edge a 1-0 victory and progression in Europe for the first time in our history.
This past season Ramsay collected 15 clean sheets in 29 appearances with a few contenders for save of the season along the way. In total Ramsay has close to 70 appearances for the Lakesiders and will likely hit the 100 mark during the 2022/23 campaign.
His heroics in goal this past season saw him called up to the Wales C squad to face England in an international challenge match. Against a squad littered with National League talent, Ramsay managed to keep a clean sheet ensuring his country secured a lopsided victory.
We look forward to seeing Ramsay collect future Welsh caps to his name as a Lakesider.
Croeso nôl Rambo!
