Chief Exec Programme notes v TNS on 14/04/23

A very warm welcome to you all for our last JD Cymru Premier League home fixture of the season against the Champions TNS. It has been a long and tough season but despite a very poor run of results recently we still have a significant chance of ending with our best season ever! We still have a mathematical chance of finishing in 3rd spot which would guarantee European qualification, still have the Play Off route for Europe and of course have a Welsh Cup Final to play against our opponents today. Football at this highly competitive level is so difficult to predict but we must remain positive despite our poor run of form and ensure that we have further success to celebrate at Maes Tegid before the end of the season.

I must take this opportunity to thank all our loyal volunteers who help to run the football club. There is a huge amount of work which goes on behind the scenes to ensure the continued success of the Club and without the help of everyone pulling together it would be an impossible task. The work our Ladies do in the Canteen and in our Hospitality section is superb and their efforts are so appreciated by everyone at Maes Tegid! I must also thank our dedicated Secretary/Treasurer Ruth Crump for all her work and especially for securing both a Domestic and European License for Bala Town. This is a most onerous task and we are only one of 12 Clubs in the whole of Wales to achieve these standards. It is a remarkable achievement for which we are most grateful. Diolch Ruth.

We have also been so very fortunate this season to have been able to attract a large number of Sponsors to the Club. We have received Match Day sponsorship for almost all our home games and this sponsorship is the lifeblood of the Club. We welcome tonight Meirion Evans and Arwel Griffiths as our Match sponsors. Their support for us is outstanding and we are extremely grateful for their generosity.

We have yet to receive final details for the Welsh Cup Final in Bangor on April 30th but will post the information out on social media as soon as we receive it from the FAW. In the meantime we have nearly filled our free coach to the game and sincerely hope that as many of our supporters can be there on the day for this huge match for the Club.

And finally my sincere thanks to each and everyone who comes through the turnstiles at Maes Tegid to support our wonderful Club. We are so grateful to you all for your superb support.

Diolch yn ofnadwy.

Nigel.
