Chief Exec Programme Notes v Penybont 31/08/24

Another warm welcome back to Maes Tegid to you all as we welcome Penybont to Bala this afternoon. It has been a very busy schedule for the Club with 2 JD Cymru Premier League fixtures over the last Bank Holiday weekend. We enjoyed an excellent 2.0 win against Flint Town last Friday and then travelled to Caernarfon on Monday to face a hostile reception from a very large crowd. The goalless draw which we came away with was a huge testament to the resilience of the team as we are stripped to the bare bones with yet another long injury list. There was a further compilation of this list during the game and I can only hope that we can recover at least one player for this match. We will be having a very active week as the transfer window draws to a close and it is probably imperative that we bring in some reinforcements to a heavily depleted squad. We look forward to the match this afternoon against a team who are equal on points with us at the top of the League and it will be a serious test of our credentials if we are to maintain our challenge in the top 6 of this hugely competitive league.

Please can I once again thank WILLIAMS HOMES LTD for their superb sponsorship of our Friday evening match against Flint. The programme will contain some photos of their sponsorship and we are indebted to this well known north Wales Company for their continued support. This afternoon we also welcome Ian Bodden from Cynwyd who has generously sponsored the Match Ball. Ian, your support is greatly appreciated and the Club are most grateful for all the support you have given us over so many years. We hope you enjot your afternoon with us!

The run of Home fixtures continues at a pace and we return to Maes Tegid next Saturday for the visit of Cardiff Met with a 2.30pm kick off. This is then followed by 2 Friday evening matches straight after each other against Aberystwyth and Newtown on the 13th and 20th of September respectively. We are certainly in a busy period at Maes Tegid.

Thanks as always for your support and attendance this afternoon.

Diolch. Nigel.
